Beginning Fly Fishing A-Z

April 15-17, 2016 at Montauk State Park
Classes will be held in the Searcy Building across from the lodge

The Stream Team Academy is offering a Beginning Fly Fishing A-Z workshop for any Stream Team member who has completed an Introductory Level Water Quality Monitoring Workshop. The class is limited to the first 15 registrants. This is a three-day course designed to provide Stream Team volunteers with a beginning to intermediate level experience in fly fishing and fly tying while utilizing their knowledge of aquatic insects. This class is somewhat physically demanding with walking and wading while wearing waders. No previous fly fishing experience necessary.

Friday Evening Arrival and Check in at 4:30 p.m. – Searcy Building

Additional information will be provided after your registration is received. Registration fee covers Friday and Saturday evening meals and fly tying and educational materials. You will be responsible for your own noon meals and breakfasts. Registration fee does not cover applicable permits (fishing license and trout permit). We have a number of cabins blocked for a discount at Reeds Cabins. The cabins have kitchenettes with dishes but no cooking pans. Make your reservations by calling (573) 548-2222. You will need to let them know you are in the Fly Fishing A-Z class for the discount ($75.00 per person for two nights lodging). If you want to lodge in the Park, call: (573) 548-2201. A list of additional local lodging accommodations will be provided in your registration packet.

Complete and mail this registration form with registration fee of $50.00 per person to Mark Van Patten at P.O. Box 180, Jefferson City, MO 65102 by March 29, 2016. Make checks payable to: The Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation. Please do not send cash. You will be responsible for your own lodging reservations.
